Latino Fan Club (September 1999), Part One

Founded by Brian Brennan, a former art director for Blueboy, Latino Fan Club began as a small newsletter in 1985 with sixty subscribers and, by 1992, had produced over seventy hardcore films and increased its membership to more than four-thousand individuals. Focusing predominately on African and Latino men with a wide range of sexual orientations, the production company shied away from the formulaic style of major studios like Colt and Falcon. Presented here is the second issue of their magazine, which marked the company’s transition from smaller newsletters into larger publications. In the first half, the short story “The Gladiators” (about two prisoners of war forced into fighting in the Colosseum) is paired with spreads of models Kiko, Ninja, and Tito.
