Advocate Men opened 1986 on a strong note, with Colt Studio's Jeff York gracing both the cover and the centerfold. A favored model within the homoerotic community, York appeared in countless publications, including the November 1981 issue of Mandate and the 1985 issue of Colt Men. In this January 1986 issue of Advocate Men, which has been broken into two parts, spreads of models Haroldo Llanes and Dell Melbourne are joined in the second half (see the first half here) by a Donelan cartoon, a showcase of Richard White's artwork, an interview with sex surrogate Marty McCombs, and the short story "Stacked Deck" (about a hot tub, a bored country boy, and a lustful Italian).
